Vikas Shah is a transformative business leader with a distinguished track record of scaling sustainable ventures and turning around complex operational challenges. Over the course of his career, Vikas has held senior executive roles in global organizations across technology, utilities, and venture capital. Most recently, he served as Operating Partner at Sporos Capital, a special situations fund focused on reviving stressed assets. In this capacity, he successfully led operational turnaround initiatives for high-growth ventures including GoMechanic, GoodtoGo, and MoEVing.

Previously, Vikas spent over a decade as Chief Operating Officer of WaterHealth International, a pioneering company delivering safe, affordable drinking water across underserved communities in India, Ghana, and Nigeria. Under his leadership, the company expanded from 100 to over 1,000 water purification plants, serving more than 10 million people globally.

Vikas began his career in consulting and venture capital with PSi Inc. in the U.S., advising Fortune 500 firms such as John Deere and ConAgra on India market entry. He later joined Tata Teleservices (TTSL) as one of its first employees and rose to become the youngest President within the Tata Group. There, he built and scaled the Access Business Unit from ₹30 crore to over ₹1,000 crore in revenue in just six years.

Recognized for his commitment to social innovation, Vikas was a finalist for the Social Entrepreneur of the Year by the Schwab Foundation at the World Economic Forum (2016). He has also been honored by the All India Management Association and Hyderabad Management Association for his leadership in environmental sustainability and organizational excellence.

Vikas holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and an MBA in Finance. He is a frequent speaker on leadership, sustainability, and impact innovation.
